Gaga's Bad Romance: Glamorously Scary!

I've been idle for almost a month now. All of a sudden I just didn't feel like writing. Or whenever there's something I thought of, I just didn't have the urge to blog about it. 2010 is simply nothing. I was browsing YouTube when I saw Lady Gaga's interview in Oprah. And there was a clip about her latest video Bad Romance. At first, I was awed visually. And so, I searched for the whole video in YouTube until I saw this.

The video is visually stunning! I didn't fall in love but it was great. It was glamorously scary! During the 0:31 sec mark, I was scared by the fingers as it manuevered to open the casket. Another scary part of the video is the costume of the dancers (0:41 sec mark). Her eyes on 1:25 mark was really petrifying. There was something eerie about it. On this mark, 2:27, the vertebrae was also frightening. But then when her dress was revealed (at 2:03 mark), I was mesmerized! It was designed flawlessly. It wasn't outrageous unlike some of her outfits (or costume) but it was just right and was done with taste. It was very sexy.

Lady Gaga doesn't have a pretty face but she has a gorgeous body so she really has to wear sexy, provocative clothes and should savor this as long as she's youthful. But what's really sexy about her is the way she expresses her craft. She is unique as an artist. She's sexy in a way but not slutty. Her fashion is provocative and almost eerie. She isn't scared of it. You'll never get tired of her because there's always something new about her. She can be sexy, classy and sometimes glamorously scary...

Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo: Again, All About KimErald

I saw the full trailer of ABS-CBN's new soap, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo and I must say that there's really something to look forward to. More than the soap itself, I was blown away with the responses of Kim Chiu's and Gerald Anderson's fans. Before, when there were rumors about Gerald being paired with Sarah Geronimo, Kimerald fans were strongly opposing and it was too powerful that even the ABS-CBN's management had to forgo the idea. There were even numerous instances were projects were cancelled because of the clamors from Kimerald's fans. I thought, if Kimerald's fans are this passionate and zealous about their so-called idols then there could be millions and millions that's why ABS-CBN's decision is being altered. If this love team is that powerful then Kim and Gerald would be a very important icon of Philippine showbiz of this generation (and all the other love teams should accept that fact).

Blackberry or iPhone?...and suddenly it's Blackberry!

For a couple of weeks now, I'm torn between buying an iPhone or Blackberry. I'm a motion designer and I use macbook pro for my work and that would license me to opt for iPhone. However, it's weight and touchscreen functionality gave me the ambiguity to choose it that's why it made me think to also consider Blackberry. And why not? Blackberry is everywhere in Hollywood. Every celeb has it and it's the most used smart phone in the movies hehehe.

My indecisiveness suddenly disappeared. I usually watch The Buzz and for so many episodes now, Kris Aquino used "Blackberry" and she even used it as verb. And since many of the Blackberry models have keypad, it made me decide to go for Blackberry. I find Blackberry Bold 9700 just right for me.

My favorite songs: Empire State of MInd & Can't fight this feeling

These days I fell in love with Jay-Z's and Alicia Keys' Empire State of Mind. But among the two, it was Alicia Keys whom I noticed. She has a powerful presence in the music video. Her voice is intense. Though the music video isn't that great.

Another song that swoons me is from Glee, Can't Fight This Feeling (anymore). One thing I appreciate about Glee is that they revived old songs.

And I Love You So: Ok pala sya

I don't usually watch romantic (or romantic-comedy) movies. More often not in cinemas but I'd just download it elsewhere. The last time that I've seen a pinoy film is Sarah Geronimo's and John Lloyd's You Changed My Life which is also entertaining. I knew that And I love You So was a mega hit in box office and so I was curious plus the fact that last night, I have nothing to watch with my favorite TV series since many of them are in their season break.

The first 30 minutes was almost boring. It was just so light. Mga pa-cute lang, kumbaga. I almost gave up and watch Supernatural instead. But gradually the story picked up its intensity. I was hooked. My favorite scene with Bea was with Coney Reyes when she was confronted. It was just a short scene but very powerful. Bea's performance on this scene was deep and compelling. She made me feel her pain just through her eyes. No shouting and no big drama.

Sam Milby is also a revelation. The role he portray is far from himself and he made me believe that he is as carefree as his character in the movie. His acting is so natural, so fluid. I think Sam and John Llyod would have a head-to-head match when it comes to acting in the generation of actors today.

Derek Ramsay shows an ok performance. His just perfect for the role of Bea's husband. Though he wouldn't be as convincing if he tackled the role of Sam. For some reason, Derek has a stiff personality that even in acting it exudes. A gay role would definitely be a challenge for Derek in his next role and he wouldn't even be intrigued at all. And maybe, I wouldn't even think as he is in that movie.

Pinoy Big Brother: Taas ng Rating

In today's edition of PBB, I sometimes miss some episodes but I'm a fan of MelAson love team. I'm surprised when I've read that it has a high TV ratings that almost dislodges Darna from its position. Congrats and keep it up!

Apple's Mac now reigns

In a span of one month, almost 3 of my friends bought Macbook Pro. Two of them bought the 15" and another bought the 13in MBP. But, of course, Windows-based computers still reigns the market share and a great number of households owns a PC. It also depends upon the firm or organization. Most of design firms use Mac computers. Since my field of specialization is in multimedia and most of my friends are in design world, then most of them also opt to use Macs. It's not about the elitism that one would buy a mac but because of its performance and reliability.

I think it's not really the hardware alone that constitutes to Macs stability, but more so, it is the operating system, Mac OS 10.6. I also own a desktop PC running on Windows 7. It's more stable and faster than its predecessor - Windows XP and Widnows Vista. However, comparing it with Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) makes Windows 7 still come off second best - from start up to shut down!
